Competency-Based Selection Made Easy

AccuHire is the first enterprise-ready, easy-to-use, on-line, competency-based applicant management solution.

Our extensive competency database allows your staff to quickly build position-specific, competency-based questionnaires by identifying the statements that reflect the performance requirements of the job!

AccuHire automatically identifies the competencies for you and even generates highly targeted, behavior-based interview questions to help even the most inexperienced recruiter ask highly professional, performance-based interview questions.

Why Competencies?

Competencies encompass knowledge, skills, capabilities, attitudes, and behaviors that characterize excellent performance within a specific context.

They become standards of success that support an organization's vision, mission, strategies, and goals. Competencies add value through alignment, measurement, efficiency, and motivation.

Competencies:

  • Clearly articulate and communicate common standards of excellence
  • Can be tied to corporate goals both organizationally and individually
  • Can clarify and establish expectations for performance and outcomes
  • Clarify behaviors that support important values and principles
  • Can be used for coaching and training
  • Can be tied to compensation
  • Can be used for succession planning

Are resumes still necessary?

You can request a resume, but the key information is collected via an online, position-specific "checklist." By placing emphasis on the checklist, AccuHire minimizes the need for resumes. In addition, resumes are not consistent and do not lend themselves to statistical analysis, thereby permitting companies to lose millions of dollars in critical selection and performance information.

Resumes also pose the following limitations:

  • Resumes are not standardized and can't be quickly assessed
  • May require manual input into a database
  • Force recruiters and hiring managers to review each resume
  • Generic resumes force recruiters to match applicants with jobs
  • May be inflated or professionally written
  • May be loaded with keywords and add to delays in filling openings
  • Resumes are not consistent and can't be statistically analyzed
  • May be outdated if retrieved from an older database or career Web site

Virtually every organization today must compete with speed and innovation -- no matter what the industry.

We quickly realized that we could improve the response rate and the volume of applicants (especially passive applicants) if we didn't require them to submit a resume at the time they submitted a profile.

What if we still would like to see a resume?

AccuHire allows an applicant to attach a resume after completing a position-specific checklist or after a resume is requested by a recruiter reviewing an applicant's qualifications. You will know with or without a resume which applicants most closely meet the position requirements.

By limiting the number of barriers to application, you should see a rise in your applicant pool. With AccuHire, you get the best of all worlds -- speed and targeted information!
